Zynga is pretty determined to get as many people as possible into virtual gang warfare. So you’ve already heard about the cross promotion with that time sink called FarmVille. We’ll, now it’s not only FarmVille: CityVille and Pioneer Trail (not to be mixed with the infamous Oregon trail) have also joined in! The conditions are the same. You must reach level 5 in Mafia Wars 2 and then you’ll get the goods. CityVille players will get a Casino (and some experience in shanking), while Pioneer Trail gives out white lions (there have been unconfirmed rumors about Mafia Wars 2 also giving you a lion). So while this might not be that interesting for people already playing Mafia Wars 2, it might help in getting some of your friends to play (and get recruited into your mafia).

How to Rob Rivals

You’re no mobster if you don’t rob somebody. And who is better to rob than your rivals? Just go there, rob the s**t out of your opponents and get out before you’re busted. Bellow you will find a couple of useful tips you need to know about robing your rivals in Mafia Wars 2.


How to Start Robbing Your Rivals?
To start robbing you need to click on the ‘Rivals’ icon in the game menu – you will be presented with a list of your rivals. Pick a rival with an inferior level and start robbing them. To rob your enemies simply walk to their turf and start robbing buildings and workers.
You can also ‘mark’ the rivals you want to rob and then easily access the list of marked enemies by pressing the ‘marked’ button. Asking for your friends’ help when robbing your rivals is also a good idea.
Defeat Before You Rob
One thing you will need to do before you start robbing your enemies is defeat them in their territory. Once the rival is defeated you are free to initiate the rob. Still, even though you beat your enemy, robbing their buildings and workers can attract unwanted attention. As you start robbing in Mafia wars 2 the ‘Heat Meter’ appears indicating the difficulty level – if the meter increases too much, the robbery will fail, so keep an eye on that indicator!
Once you rob your rival for everything they have, their buildings will become wasted or fully robed which means you’ve got nothing left to do there.
How to Get Rivals?
It can be hard initiating a rob if your enemy’s list is empty. If you’re new to the game the best way to get rivals is by getting into a fight – go to the fight area and start fighting. Anyone you fight in the Bone Yard gets into your rivals’ list, win a fight and you can go rob their turf. When the fight is finished click on you’re enemy’s icon and press ‘Rob’.

How to Level Up in Mafia Wars 2

There are many ways to level up in Mafia Wars 2 and gain more experience which is the most important thing in order to level up. This guide will tell you everything you need to know on how to level up in Mafia Wars 2.

One more thing you should do is rob your rivals – by doing so you will gain loot, experience and cash. You can also rob buildings and non-player characters this will reward you with cash and experience as well.


A list of actions which will help you gain more cash, experience and loot also includes:

• Eating in restaurants and fast food places
• Using payphones
• Shopping in stores
• Visiting souvenir shops
• Swimming in pools
• Looting on mailboxes, trashcans and dumpsters
• Gambling in casinos
• Vandalizing buildings and vehicles
• Talking to some people
• Searching homes

Performing these actions will reward you with cash and experience and will help you level up in Mafia Wars 2.

How to improve your Turf Defense in Mafia Wars 2

In Mafia Wars 2 protecting your territory is as important as fighting your enemies in the battle or robbing their turf. By defending your own back yard you reduce the loss of resources and protect your property.



Protect Your Property
The first thing you should do to protect your turf is provide it with basic defense. To prevent your enemies from stealing your stuff you should equip your turf with protection. The best way to keep your cash safe is to put it in a bank; build a warehouse to put your products in and provide them with protection.

  

Upgrade Your Defense

When you level up in Mafia Wars 2, your defense can be upgraded. Unlock sample defenses as you progress in the game and provide your stuff with higher security levels. As you earn more resources, you will also need more space in your bank and warehouse to keep them safe. The blue shield next to the building means it can still be stored with resources, but once it’s gone, that means that any extra stuff you put in the building is at risk. Upgrade your buildings so that they could store more of your money and products.

Harvest Your Property
You should harvest your buildings and workers and keep them safe at the same time. Your enemies can only rob your property once it’s “Ready to harvest”, so you should not leave it unprotected. If you’re unable to harvest your property – don’t let your workers start the job in the first place. Always keep in mind that your buildings and workers are vulnerable and need your protection.

If you’re unable to protect your turf on your own you can always ask your Mafia Wars 2 friends for help. Friends and crews can help you protect your stuff from being robbed by your enemies. If you have plenty of active crews let them repair your buildings and workers as well.

Gamble for gold in Mafia Wars 2

Are you a mafioso with gold to spare?
Now you can spend your gold by “gambling“. By that I mean you can visit a location in any of the Arenas:

To unlock gambling you need to do a 1 Energy action on them. After that, you can gamble, which costs 1 gold. Supposedly you can get, in return, nothing (no surprise here), 1 gold, materiel parts or street cred.

New ways to Get Gold in Mafia Wars 2!

Getting gold is pretty important in Mafia Wars 2 as gold is valuable and you can use it to your advantage.
There are basically two new ways how to get gold in Mafia Wars 2:

 Fighting – fight your opponents in arenas and win gold as a reward.
